Susan Lawyer Willis is Chair of Education for All, the Washington DC-based education advocacy organisation. Susan is also founder and CEO of TransformED Leadership, an education and human services company headquartered in Virginia.
Susan is a nationally certified education leadership coach and a sought after educational reform specialist. She is a board member of the United Way of the Roanoke Valley, where she is founder and co-chair of the Community Engagement Program.
She is a Distinguished Lecturer at Hollins University, a recipient of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Unsung Hero Award, the SCLC Drum Major for Justice Award and the Women of Achievement Award from the Roanoke YWCA. She is a Scott Hawkins Leadership Fellow and Chair of the National Trends and Services Facet of The Links, Incorporated. She is an esteemed Diamond Life member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
She has served on the boards of The Taubman Museum of Art, The Jefferson College of Health Sciences and The American Red Cross. Susan received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Hollins University and her Master of Science degree in Educational Leadership from Radford University where she received the Ruth K. Wood Memorial Award for Educational Leadership. In additon, she completed post graduate work at Virginia Tech in the field of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies. She is an accomplished 2011 Fellow of the SUPES Academy.
